The view over the ocean is fantastic and it is not only sunsets that are to be seen, there is sun the whole day.
Built on two floors the living accommodation and kitchen are on the top floor, with the terrace.There is also a bedroom and en suite bathroom with toilet, shower and wasbasin.
On the lower floor is another large bedroom with en suite bathroom, this one has a corner bath tub as well as a walk-in shower, toilet and washbasin. The three-pane sliding doors give direct access to the garden.

The House and Garden
Sunset House was built in 2004. The roof construction is a special asset of this charming house, open to view, the stained wooden beams are a pleasure to watch and give the room a cosy, log house feeling. The large woodstove is more than adequate to heat the whole upper floor, but the whole house is also equipped with Central Heating radiators and towel warmers in the bathrooms.
In the hot summers the covered terrace makes sure it doesn’t get too hot inside the house.
The kitchen is sold with all amenities, oven, microwave, fridge, gas stove and dishwasher.
The total construction are is 195 m2. The garden is an additional 800 m2. and has a pond with goldfish, fruit trees and ornamental shrubs and trees.
Located on the extreme western side of the Island Faial inside the Protected National Park area ‘Volcão dos Capelinhos’. The area is rural, a few cows and fields with grapes are about the only activities in this part of the island. There is an elementary school, children are picked up and brought home by schoolbus, a church, two grocery shops and a few restaurants. Two of the most beautiful swimming places are close-by, the Comprido, enclosed on three sides by rocks and open to the ocean one side and Varadouro, a completely enclosed seawater fed swimmingpool with separate children’s pool.
The distance to Horta is about 25 minutes driving and there are all the supermarkets, local shops and open market.
